There was a BBC Radio 4 programme about 13 years ago about the high incidence of serious crime, ie killings and disappearances, on cruise ships. And about the problem of these crimes not being investigated for precisely the reason that you mention - jurisdictional problems. So something terrible happens and the cruise company doesn’t want to do anything about it not just because of the commercial impact, which is one obvious reason, but also because it just doesn’t know what it can do about it. In terms of the criminal justice system, there’s just nobody in charge a lot of the time. Scary!

What did Amy Bradley do to have such a horror happen? Unimaginable. Those responsible need to rot in hell.

By the way, there is a beautiful half-statue of Australia's much loved Evonne Goolagong in Melbourne Park. And other statues too. Raelene Boyle is another.

Davina Williams is an Australian lesbian Olympian, engaged to an Australian lesbian super model!

And like the Brit and Irish teams, our football teams are full of lesbians! I went to a women’s AFL game recently (Australian Football League). Two thirds of the Sydney team were lesbians!

I will definitely head to Bondi when they unveil this statue of Pauline! 🤤

I suppose a strict ponytail is rather practical in sports? Short cuts are pretty high maintenance and might blow in your face etc unless cropped extremely close... And perhaps nobody wants to take the plunge and stand out as the "dyke of the team"? That said I'm also sick of exactly all young women having long hair these days. I recently saw a girls' soccer team who all had identical blonde (whether natural or not) semi-long hair to match their team wear.

Julie that’s exactly the question I’ve asked about the pony tails!! Everyone keeps f dismissing me and saying it’s just the fashion but I agree with you I think it’s a way to avoid appearing as butch dykes, it’s a a shame but I kind of understand I just wish being a butch dyke wasn’t such a negative 😫

I believe one of the most effective ways to entrap sex-trafficked women and girls (other than forcibly impregnating them and then threatening their children) is to threaten their co-victims.
