The 'Lesbians' part of the 'Desexing Society' podcast is very good and filled in knowledge gaps for me. I loved it. The work of our own Lesbian Action Group in campaigning for justice and setting up The Lesbian Club has been fabulous, and getting better all the time.
The covert implementation of gender ideology by the various Labor Governments has been vile and insidious, but cracks are appearing through various legal cases and coverage by 'The Australian' newspaper, a Murdoch publication, oddly. I have become more detached but am also daring to be hopeful and positive.
Thanks to both of you for the laughter, and for turning up each week. I think we all have needed you. We need also to keep abreast of what is happening in the UK and the US.
45 mins with you two is such a tonic (with or without illicit BYO gin). Thank you for the regular doses of cheer, and wishing you lots more well-earned summer jollity (less the bus replacement services...)
I think your Glyndebourne outfit was glorious, Julie. Such thought had gone into it. Amazing and wonderful. You looked good, too, Kathleen, but . . . it was Julie all the way for me.
What a fabulous outing. Julie are you referring to the old woman scene? I thought it voiced a sort of horror of an aging woman's body and also the mother horror (paging Julia Kristeva), and I just couldn't get past it. Put me off the entire production. (I watched this Barry Kosky SAUL in a livestream some years ago.)
Great to have some Australian content!

Julie Gillard. Ex-prime minister.
Amazon Acres, it was. In northern New South Wales. I never got there myself but knew women who lived there.
Julie - even more ICONIC in an Oliver Bonas t shirt.
Thanks for the many laughs this week, and the lovely photos were the icing on the cake!
I definitely heard ‘Oliver Boner’
