Fab episode. Fantastic news about the Supreme Court ruling and congratulations on your part in that with your submission/intervention. Podcast quote of the week has to go to Kathleen with ‘consult your nether regions’ 🤣 think I will be laughing about that for the rest of the day!
I am overjoyed common sense prevails! I keep pinching myself because for the longest time I felt this insanity would never end, so I’m elated. However, I agree with Julie. We can't celebrate until no other child is put through this hell. And although I'm still angry that gender tyranny ruined countless lives, I mirror Kathleen's sentiments we should try to provide narratives of resilience and hope.
Fabulous episode. As always, congratulations, I hope you feel a sense of pride and vindication and, last but no means least, thank you for your continued fight for lesbians and womankind. 🙏❤️
Kier presumably can now fire Lord Cashman who is fretting in the House of Lords (!) that trans are fleeing the U.K. because of the judgement - which just beggars belief and I don’t believe for a second as it’s another excuse for the push into yet more victimhood.
Whilst he’s at it he can offer a job with an apology to Rosie Duffield.
Lovely to share your joy Julie and Kathleen. And thank you so much for your major contributions to the victory. Amazing work. And that unHerd article Kathleen.. Just wow!
However, I do know at least ten lesbians who very successfully developed their close friendships into life partnerships/marriages. All are still very happily together forty years later. Maybe it's different here in Australia..
After watching the recent Supreme Court announcement, I was bathed in happiness and relief - a real physical sensation that lasted a couple of days. Deep thanks to both of you and all the other remarkable women who worked on this case. Australia is a fair way behind you but the decision was noticed by some of our choked up media and our confused Human Rights Commissioner. The door to common sense has opened just a bit more. Thanks to our own female advocates for all their hard work. Kudos and joy!
It's felt like a very long wait for this particular episode and to hear both your thoughts on the ruling - especially in a sea of online derangement! I work in TV and it's been disappointing but not exactly surprising to see a channel commissioner who used to be a lesbian but is now "non binary", advertising their involvement in the "Trans urination Day". So have been longing to hear the piss being taken rather than given !
YES on the legally lesbian movie! There was a silly thread on twitter a while back when the Forstater case was happening, about who would play who in the film. so now we need to know who plays Julie and Kathleen in the movie of the FWS judgement!
Could we have 'lesbian intervenors' on a t-shirt please? And perhaps one with 'not oriented to certificates' for when that one is being washed. Thanks to you wonderful women for your role in the Supreme Court judgement. The situation of lesbians was indeed part of what made this stick.
While the supreme court ruling is EVERYTHING, this episode left me with a vague feeling of emptiness … and then I realised that Julie and Kath didn’t talk about what they ate this week.
This much anticipated episode made me so happy, even on top of the Supreme Court ruling in favor of what was common sense until about 10 years ago. Thinking of moving back to the UK... the economy may be in the tank, but it means a lot to know that sanity is finally prevailing! Not so here in California. Every time a fellow parent at my daughter's school refers to my daughter as "he" I am thrown into a state of impotent agitation.
I’ve just discovered this podcast (love it) and have been working my way through it womanfully IN ORDER only to find that episode 28 has been missed. Did Taylor Swift threaten legal proceedings if you didn’t take it down?? Where can I find number 28?!
PS Obviiusly the Supreme Court decision trumps orderly listening but still … …

0:41 good mornings, Supreme Court judgement
30:30 lesbian bars, lesbian erasure, building bridges
43:07: Black Mirror
54:17 good news, dilezzas
English say Ah-Dee-das, Scot’s say it like Americans oddly enough Ah-DEE-Dus
