Changes afoot...

We wanted to let you know about a change to the format of our podcast: namely, from this week on, we are moving to audio only and dropping the visuals.
While we can’t claim to understand why you do it, we know some of you like to listen to our blethering nonsense accompanied by the sight of some ridiculous facial expressions as well. The problem is, we find the relentless glare of the camera a bit exhausting – Julie has to spend an hour beforehand getting a blowdry from the personal stylist she keeps under the stairs, and Kathleen’s pre-podcast morning shed routine is getting beyond a joke. And that’s before we even get to adjusting the laptop cameras so we are the same height. So we have decided to focus on improving the sound of the pod instead, and providing the best possible aural experience for you, our beloved listeners.
Many will not notice the change; but for those who do, look on the bright side. We have freed you to do other things, rather watch us: knit that jumper, tackle those garden weeds, make olive oil and sea salt ice cream (apparently it’s very good). Alternatively you can continue to stare at your laptop and try to picture us there – if it works for you, we won’t judge, though please keep it clean.
For our paid subscribers, you can listen to every episode, including the premium ones, through your favourite app (Spotify, Apple podcasts, etc) : just follow the instructions here . For free subscribers, every second episode is free on those apps too; there is nothing complicated to do, you only have to search for us and listen. Or you can continue to listen via Substack itself.

Really disappointed about this. I find it hard to concentrate on podcasts that are sound only. Never mind, it was great while it lasted!
Arghhh...I can't just listen to things...it's why I don't listen to the radio (it feels like voices in my head!) Ah, well...it was a fun ride :)
